Aging is often regarded as a disease to be treated with drugs and surgeries; the aesthetics and beauty industry try to convince us aging is ugly and should be “reversed”, covered up, denied and fought. Why? Aging is not an illness—it is a natural process of life—it begins immediately after birth, and it can be enjoyed.

No one should ever be made to feel ashamed, outcast, marginalized or “less than another” just because of their birth year.

How does one begin actively aging? Start with embracing a lifestyle of self-care and thoughtful positive participation in life. Add a healthy diet, get outdoors and remain active to improve health, happiness and longevity. Remember to keep up with friends and family!
